Email & Blog Content Marketing Specialist

We’re looking for an Email & Blog Content Marketing Specialist to join our team on a contract basis, with the potential to grow into a permanent part-time or full-time role. This position is perfect for someone who has a strong foundation in email marketing, copywriting, and creating engaging visuals, and is ready to take their skills to the next level. 

In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing and executing email marketing campaigns and writing SEO-driven blog content for our clients, primarily in the health & wellness and food & recipe categories. You may be a good fit if you have an eye for design, understands email & content performance metrics, and know how to write compelling copy that converts.

THE DUTIES: 

Email Marketing (60%) 

  • Turn creative briefs and merchandise calendars into high-performing email campaigns that look as good as they convert.  
  • Build, test, and schedule email marketing campaigns in Klaviyo or Omnisend. 
  • Write compelling subject lines, preview text, and email copy that drive opens, clicks, and conversions. 
  • Design visually appealing emails using Canva and existing brand assets. 
  • Segment and manage email lists to optimize targeting and engagement. 
  • Analyze email performance metrics (open rates, CTRs, conversions) and make data-backed recommendations. 

 

Blog Writing (40%) 

  • Develop SEO-driven blog topics aligned with client industries (health & wellness, food & recipes). 
  • Conduct keyword research and write optimized blog posts (1,500 – 2,000 words). 
  • Research and analyze industry trends and competitor content to inform blog topics. 
  • Optimize blog content for SEO best practices, including internal linking, meta descriptions, and proper formatting. 
  • Ensure all content is grammatically flawless, engaging, and aligned with the client’s brand voice and tone.  
  • Stay up to date with content marketing trends and propose new ideas to improve blog engagement. 

 

THE REQUIREMENTS: 

  • 3-5 years of marketing experience, with a focus on email marketing and blog writing. 
  • You’re comfortable working with Canva and have a strong design eye (even if you’re not a graphic designer). 
  • Elevated aesthetic eye with an understanding of core design principles, excellent typography and layout skills, a keen eye for detail, and ease in translating brand guidelines through all creative. 
  • Excellent writing, proofreading and communication skills with creativity to craft campaigns that engage and convert. 
  • Proficiency in Klaviyo, Omnisend, or similar email platforms. 
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and keyword research tools. 
  • Ability to analyze marketing performance metrics and make data-driven adjustments. 
  • Comfortable managing multiple clients and industries at once. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially PowerPoint 
  • Great time management and prioritizing skills

  • 3 – 4 month contract, 60-80 hours per month
